Silver Creek Camping Trip

Sept. 11-13th our family went camping. We drove up to Silver Creek. My favorite part was the scenery and the smells- pine and fresh mountain air. Ahhhh... There were wild flowers everywhere you looked. These little, purple ones were on our camp grounds.

Our first morning, just as the sun was coming over the mountain:

We went for a little hike to a creek nearby. Here is Bradley taking in the view:

Collin in motion...

The creek...

Natalie really enjoyed the creek!

Gorgeous!

More wild flowers:

Breanna sitting by the creek:

Will, Collin, and I:
Isn't it just beautiful?
There was a tall dirt pile off the side of the rode that everyone climbed:

This is my favorite picture! I had to take it to remind myself that sometimes the kids do "pull" for each other...

They all made it!

The "Collinator"

Strike a pose...

Our first night there, Collin burned himself on the lantern! It was SO bad...it turned purple!

Later that day we went hiking up the mountain. If you look to the left of the big, brown tree trunk, you can see a waterfall!

Waterfall:

The kids found walking sticks:

This is where Bradley said, "Mom, I'm a warrior!" (I think I might have this one framed)

Next, we went for a drive up the mountain and took some pictures from the car.

Breath taking...

We found out about some hot springs so we decided to go. We had to cross an ice, cold river to get to them. Here are our shoes:
Will, Breanna, and Natalie are almost there!

I LOVE camping and can't wait until we can go again!

What a fun trip! We have yet to go camping as a family. I'm just not an outdoor gal. If we camp, it's in a cabin with running water and electricity. Ha ha! But I loved your photos...gorgeous! I'm so glad you and the family had a fun time. Those are memories that the kids will always remember. I love Bradley's warrior photo.
